30 Weeks!

Merry Christmas!

Woohoo only 10ish weeks left! I am super excited for the baby to get here! We just toured the hospital the other day, so we can get our referral from our insurance for delivery. The hospital we are delivering at is a 5 minute drive from our house which is really convenient! It's close enough that, once I am settled, Jay can bring the car back and park somewhere free, and then walk over, since the parking garage prices are ridiculous. I'll be preregistering in a few weeks!

I had my doctors appointment Monday and everything is going as expected! Elsie measures average across the board. I got to listen to her heartbeat for a good half hour or so and the doctor said it sounds perfect. She also got the hiccups while the monitor was on which was pretty funny!

How far along: 30 Weeks!
Gender: Girl!
Name: Elsie
Weight: I've gained around 22ish pounds depending on the day and Elsie weighed 2 pounds 14 ounces at my doctors appointment on Monday and he said she's about 15.5 inches long and growing!
Maternity clothes: Yep, just got a few new items for Christmas!
Stretch marks: Nope
Belly button in or out: In
Rings on or off: I can wear them for a day or two but I can't wear them all the time
Sleep: Hasn't been as bad as it was but maybe I'm just getting used to it
Best moment this week: Christmas!!
Worst moment this week: Waking up to a really horrible leg cramp this morning. First one so far this pregnancy. Hoping it never ever happens again!
Miss anything: Wine. And family being around for Christmas.
Movement: Yep!
Cravings: Nothing stands out. I just love all the food.
Aversions: None right now, Yay! Hopefully none come back in these last 10 weeks.
Looking forward to: The new year! It's going to be an exciting one!

28 Weeks!

I'm finally in the third trimester! I know I said this last week but there are some different opinions on whether 27 or 28 weeks starts it.

How am I feeling, you ask? Mostly I just feel like Free Willy and I am not looking forward to getting even more huge the next few months... but I can't believe we are in the third trimester! Hurry up March!

Chloe's face cracks me up!

How far along: 28 weeks and 1 day!
Gender: Girl!
Name: Elsie May
Weight: Oh what fun it is to eat all the holiday food... I don't recommend being pregnant during the holidays... or do I?
Maternity clothes: Yep
Stretch marks: Nope
Belly button in or out: In
Rings on or off: Off because it still makes my finger itch
Sleep: Blah, what is sleep? I'm sure this will just get worse.
Best moment this week: Umm, nothing exciting really happened. I'm excited it's Friday!
Worst moment this week: Getting locked out of my apartment today...bleh
Miss anything: Sleeping well, and fitting in all my clothes lol
Movement: Yep! I think she might have moved positions because the movement is in different places this week.
Cravings: Nothing stands out. I just love all the food.
Aversions: None right now, Yay!
Looking forward to: Celebrating my birthday and all the fun Christmas stuff that starts next week!

Are we there yet?

So I just had a funny thought about how pregnancy is like going on a really long car trip.

1. When you first get in the car you are really excited.

2. But before long you start to get car sick.

3. After a little while you may (or may not) get feeling better.

4. Then comes the fun part of the car ride. You're excited about where you are going and turn up the radio and laugh and have a good time.

5. Time passes fast at first but then slowly... super slowly...

6. Then you reach the point where you feel like the car ride is seriously never going to end.

7. Are we there yet? Nope. And things start to get uncomfortable.

8. Nope still not there and at this point your whole body starts to ache from being in the car so long.

9. You are so super close to your destination... then boom traffic jam! Sets you back a few extra hours.

10. You made it! It feels weird to be out of the car and you are super tired... but guess what? Now you're here and you can't sleep because there is just so much to see and do!

After I started writing that I realized it kind of worked it's way into the perfect number of lines, one for each month of pregnancy!

27 Weeks!

Hello third trimester! Time is flying!

Had my doctors appointment today and Elsie is doing great! She measures average in pretty much every way! I also got to finally see most of her face in 3D and got quite a few pictures of her! She is super cute! Can't wait to actually see her face in 13ish more weeks ahh! Also, she is head down and has been for weeks now so hopefully she continues to be that way.

Chloe was curious about the camera beeping haha

How far along: 27 weeks!
Gender: Girl!
Name: Elsie May
Weight: She weighs about 2 pounds and 4oz and is about 14.25 inches long. I, on the other hand, am at roughly 19 pounds. I blame the holidays.
Maternity clothes: Yes, and lots of leggings. I'm all about comfort these days.
Stretch marks: Nope
Belly button in or out: In
Rings on or off: Off because it still makes my finger itch
Sleep: I've pretty much come to terms with not sleeping very well ever again haha
Best moment this week: Seeing baby girl at my doctors appointment today!
Worst moment this week: Sleeping, or not so much, every night
Miss anything: Sleeping well
Movement: Yep all the time!
Cravings: Nothing in particular.
Aversions: None right now, Yay!
Queasy or sick: Nope
Looking forward to: Going to more Christmas Markets, and my birthday, and Christmas, and my next doctors appointment right before Christmas... such a crazy busy month!

Scarf Swap!

I recently participated in a scarf swap between bloggers, coordinated by Jessica over at Jessica Lynn Writes! I have never done anything like this before so it was a completely new and very exciting experience!

My scarf swap partner Courtney also is living in Germany, which made the whole mailing process go a lot more smoothly than it could have haha!

I actually just picked up my package from the post office today so I haven't had a chance to wear my scarf yet, but I did get a chance to take a picture of my goodies.

She also sent me a nursing cover and little scarf/bib for baby which was SUPER nice of her!

It really was a great experience and I hope to participate in something like this again!

Little Baby ...

We decided on the first name for our baby girl quite awhile ago. It took a lot longer to decide on the middle name and we were originally going to wait until she is born to reveal the name but I decided that I am bad at keeping secrets. I actually almost slipped up and wrote/said the name several times over the past month or two.

So the moment you have all been waiting for (or not). Our baby girl's name is...

Elsie Mae

A little background on the name and the decision process.

We liked the idea of naming the baby something with German roots since we are in Germany and Jay's family is originally from here, so we spent at least a couple of weeks looking up names when we were just sitting around. One day I came across Elsie and asked Jay about it and he said that was his great grandmother's name. I never knew what her name was because they just always called her great grandma and I only met her once before she passed away several years ago. I thought that was pretty cool because we are both a little old fashioned and enjoy not only older names but also that it's related to family.

Then we spent just as long trying to figure out the middle name. We really liked a certain name as a middle name but decided against using it because we might want to use it as a first name if we have another little girl someday so we spent awhile thinking of middle names that sounded nice with Elsie. I happened upon the name Mae and pitched it to Jay and he said that was his great grandma's middle name too.

So it turns out our little Elsie Mae will be named the same as her great great grandmother. I think it's a really cool coincidence that we just happened to really like this name. It makes me wonder if great grandma is up there or rather down here somehow whispering in my ear to name the baby after her. I guess we'll never know.

25!

Had my doctors appointment today! Everything is going really well! Baby girl is getting so big and it is so cool to see her moving around on the ultrasound. I also passed all of the tests they took last time which is great news! The only thing getting a little low is my iron but there is some in my prenatal vitamins... if only I could remember to take it every day. Maybe I should set an alarm!

Good news for everyone waiting patiently...we decided on her middle name and will be announcing soon!

I took two pictures this week, one yesterday (left) and one today (right). My legs definitely blend in to the couch a little.. sorry about that haha.

How far along: 25 weeks!
Gender: Girl!
Name: Coming Soon!
Weight: Baby is estimated to be about 1 pound 11 ounces. She is getting so big! We won't talk about my weight gain anymore haha.
Maternity clothes: Yes, and lots of leggings. I'm all about comfort these days.
Stretch marks: Nope
Belly button in or out: In
Rings on or off: I can only wear it for about one day then I have to take it off before my finger gets itchy and red :(
Sleep: I've pretty much come to terms with not sleeping very well ever again haha
Best moment this week: Seeing baby girl at my doctors appointment today! She was so cute and kept sucking and it was so cool to see her mouth moving! She's getting so big!
Worst moment this week: This morning I really wanted to sleep for another hour but my sides hurt so bad I had to get up. If anyone has any tips/tricks for sleeping comfortably feel free to pass them my way!
Miss anything: Not really
Movement: Yep! It's my favorite thing ever!! I think she had hiccups this morning too for the first time (or the first time I've noticed)
Cravings: Nothing in particular. I do eat a lot of taco bell though...
Aversions: None right now, Yay!
Queasy or sick: Nope
Looking forward to: My next appointment in two weeks. Still trying to get a good 3D picture of baby. She has yet to be in the right position.

Yum!

Do you like cookies? How about brownies?
Then you have to try these cookies that taste just like brownies!

Ingredients:
1/2 cup flour
1 large egg
1 cup of Nutella

Optional:
Chocolate chips or walnuts or whatever else you like in your brownies!
(The pictured cookies have butterscotch chips in them)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Mix ingredients until there are no more flour clumps
Form 1 inch dough balls and place on pan about 2 inches apart
Bake 10 minutes,  middle will be a little soft but sets while cooling

These are seriously the most delicious cookies I've had in awhile!  They are the perfect sweetness and, just like their brownie counterparts, pair well with a glass of milk!

Viability!

Today I have reached viability! Which pretty much just means that if something were to go wrong and baby had to come out that she has a better chance of surviving (with a ton of medical help) than not. It just gets better every day after this point :) The next big milestone will be the 3rd trimester! Wow! I feel like this pregnancy is flying by. I think it will only speed up with the holidays!

(the shadow from the flash just kills me but this was the best picture of the 5 I took)

Since I don't have a job or any real reason to dress nice I tend to wear whatever is comfortable, which during the week is leggings/ yoga pants and a t-shirt or sweatshirt. I try to dress nicer on the weekends so maybe I should start taking pictures then haha! I feel like I look huge compared to my last bump picture!

How far along: 24 weeks!
Gender: Girl!
Name: Thinking about revealing it soon, we shall see :)
Weight gain: I'll find out again next week.
Maternity clothes: Yes, and lots of leggings. I'm all about comfort these days.
Stretch marks: Nope
Belly button in or out: In
Rings on or off: Off right now because they are STILL making my finger all itchy and red :(
Sleep: I've pretty much come to terms with not sleeping very well ever again haha
Best moment this week: I found a super cute dresser for baby's room! I wasn't planning on getting one because we have a lot of closet space and shelving BUT when it's free...
Worst moment this week: Nothing I can think of
Miss anything: Not really, maybe just being able to sleep comfortably.
Movement: Yep! It's my favorite thing ever!!
Cravings: Nothing in particular. I do eat a lot of taco bell though...
Aversions: None right now, Yay!
Queasy or sick: Nope
Looking forward to: My appointment next week! Hoping to get a good 3D picture of baby!

23 Weeks!

Had my doctors appointment today! I start going every two weeks from now on which is really exciting! It's so much fun to see baby girl! The doctor tried to get a good 3D picture of her face but the umbilical cord was in the way so hopefully next time we can get a good one, but we did get some good profile pictures this time!

Slightly different angles

How far along: 23 weeks!
Gender: Girl!
Name: Any guesses? Hehehe
Weight gain: Right around 10 pounds I think if I'm converting from kilos to pounds properly
Maternity clothes: Yes, and lots of leggings
Stretch marks: Nope
Belly button in or out: In
Rings on or off: Off right now because they are making my finger all itchy and red :(
Sleep: Depends on the night.
Best moment this week: Seeing the baby at my doctors appointment today!
Worst moment this week: Sitting around at the doctors for over 2 hours today, and having my blood taken 3 times, for my glucose test. Hopefully it went well! I'll know it was okay as long as I don't get a call from the doctor tonight or tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
Miss anything: Some yummy drinks.
Movement: Yes! Several times a day! It's starting to develop a pattern I think.
Cravings: Nothing in particular.
Aversions: None right now, Yay!
Queasy or sick: Nope
Looking forward to: The long weekend ahead!

22!

Just been getting ready for Halloween this week! I bought a bunch of yummy candy yesterday that just might not make it to tomorrow. I can't wait to wear my pumpkin shirt and pass out candy to the kids. I also painted a pumpkin to set outside for a little decoration, nobody in our building really decorated. I can't wait for Halloween next year once the little one is here! Children make holidays so much more fun!

How far along: 22 weeks!
Gender: Girl!
Name: :)
Weight gain: I'm thinking close to 10 pounds by now.
Maternity clothes: Yes they are definitely in the mix. I still fit in my jeans with the hair tie trick, and most of my shirts but the maternity clothes are starting to be so much more comfortable.
Stretch marks: Nope
Belly button in or out: In
Rings on or off: Off right now because they are making my finger all itchy and red :(
Sleep: Last night was horrible but it still just depends.
Best moment this week: Buying (and eating) candy for trick or treat tomorrow!
Worst moment this week: Not sleeping good last night
Miss anything: Some yummy drinks.
Movement: Yes! Several times a day, some days more than others.
Cravings: Well... tomorrow needs to get here before I eat all this candy and don't have any left to pass out to the kids...
Aversions: None right now, Yay!
Queasy or sick: Nope
Looking forward to: My doctors appointment next week!!

Handmade for Baby

I have been feeling extra crafty lately, especially when it comes to any and all things for the baby. The first things I made, before we even knew the gender, were these hat and booties. I just recently added the flowers to make them a little more girly.

I decided on teal and yellow for the nursery awhile back and have been adding things little by little. I am basing the colors off of this fabric that I used to make a curtain for a storage cabinet that I have. I also made a little pillow out of the leftovers.

I found this wall mounted coat hanger a few weeks back and painted it to match. It was just one of those things I picked up and wasn't sure where I was going to put it, but then one day I got bored and ta-da!

This has been my most time consuming project. I just recently finished crocheting this blanket for the baby. I added a frilly ruffled border to a very simple double crochet pattern. I'm definitely a beginner when it comes to crocheting so the more simple the better, and this was easy enough that I didn't get to frustrated or mess up to many times.

Here's a peek at the crib. The pillow that I mentioned above is here as well as the blanket. I also painted this picture. My grandma used to sing me that song to me when I was little and around the time she passed away I had a toy that danced and sang it. It brings back good memories and fits the room perfect. (and of course elephants)

I'm definitely not a pro when it comes to sewing, but I can manage a semi-straight line pretty well so I made these curtains. The windows here are a weird size and they have this very outdated clip-on hanging system so I couldn't find curtains that I liked without having to order them and pay for shipping. Luckily I found the perfect teal fabric. They block out just enough light so that I think baby will be able to nap in there during the day but I'll still be able to see and not run in to things.

That's it for now haha. Clearly I have been keeping myself busy.

21 Weeks!

The weeks seem to be flying by and yet going slowly at the same time!

How far along: 21 weeks! More than halfway!
Gender: Girl!
Name: We have decided on a first name! Actually we've known it for awhile hehehe. The middle name is a little trickier though.
Weight gain: I think about 8 pounds. I don't feel much bigger this week really.
Maternity clothes: Wearing a couple things every now and then. Today I opted for old jeans with the hair tie trick.
Stretch marks: Nope
Belly button in or out: In
Sleep: Depends on the night. Last night was decent.
Best moment this week: I purchased a doppler from someone and got to finally hear the baby's heartbeat! I've seen it beating on the ultrasounds but never heard it until this week.
Worst moment this week: Hmmm... nothing bad really.
Miss anything: Being able to sleep on my stomach! And probably blue cheese...
Movement: Yes! Several times a day, some days more than others.
Cravings: Nothing stands out at the moment.
Aversions: None right now, Yay!
Queasy or sick: Nope
Looking forward to: My next doctors appointment at 23 weeks! Even though I'll be doing the glucose screening which I'm nervous about.

Half Way!!

Today I am 20 weeks! I had my doctors appointment this morning. Everything looks great! I go back in 3 weeks and get to do the glucose test...woo! (not). After that I will start going every other week. I'm so happy to not have to wait 4 weeks between visits anymore!

Just made those curtains for the baby room this week!

How far along: 20 weeks! Half way there!!
Gender: Girl! Confirmed by the doctor again today. He is 100% sure. He said if the baby comes out a boy then he should lose his license haha. The pictures are pretty clear.
Weight gain: I'm up about 7 pounds since my first appointment I think.
Maternity clothes: Wearing a couple things every now and then. The shirt I'm wearing in this picture is maternity. I pretty much live in yoga pants and leggings...not that that's much different than before.
Stretch marks: Nope
Belly button in or out: In
Sleep: Depends on the night. I wake up a lot more than before that's for sure.
Best moment this week: My doctors appointment today! It's so nice to see the baby and make sure that she's doing okay in there.
Worst moment this week: Hmmm... nothing bad really.
Miss anything: Being able to sleep on my stomach! Or my back for that matter. Side sleeping sucks! I may never do it again after this.
Movement: Yes! At least once or twice a day now and sometimes more. Nothing too strong but I'm sure she will be getting stronger!
Cravings: Nothing stands out really. I do enjoy sweets now more than before though. I've noever really been big on desserts and stuff but now if you give me a cupcake or a cookie I'm happy :)
Aversions: None right now, Yay!
Queasy or sick: Nope
Looking forward to: My next doctors appointment!

Nostalgia

Last week I received a package from my mom filled with some items from when I was a baby that she thought I might like for my little one. I am super excited that she held on to these things through the years!

I absolutely loved reading books when I was little!
My favorite from these was "In a People House",
I can still recite it almost word for word!

I don't know how many people remember Lamb Chop but I loved that show! My mom and I even went to see one of the shows live. It has been off the air for quite some time, and I remember hearing about the lady that did the show passing away, so I doubt any kids have heard of it these days but it's still a cool puppet to pass down to my baby. Along with some blankets that were mine when I was little.

Nostalgia!

18 Weeks!

Not much going on this week. I've just been waiting to start feeling definite movements from the baby. It seems like time is dragging waiting for my 20 week doctors appointment.

I don't feel like I look much different than last week. No one has asked when I'm due yet so I'm thinking I just look fat which is annoying. Haha.  But here's a picture for you...

(the shadow from my flash makes me look 3D or something but I was too annoyed to take a better picture)

How far along: 18 weeks!
Gender: Girl!
Weight gain: About 5 pounds
Maternity clothes: Getting dressed is a hassle. A lot of my old clothes don't fit right but I still feel to small to wear my maternity stuff. I did get a couple more maternity things for a great deal yesterday! I'll be wearing them soon I imagine.
Stretch marks: Nope but my stomach is starting to itch, I just keep slathering on lotion haha
Belly button in or out: In
Sleep: Depends on the night really. Crazy dreams though!
Best moment this week: Nothing really exciting going on here. I'm just always excited to be another week along! Almost half way there!
Worst moment this week: Nights that I don't sleep well. The other night I was up at 4:45 because it was to uncomfortable to lay down any longer.
Miss anything: It's Oktoberfest here so... beer.
Movement: I've felt a couple little sensations that had me wondering if it was the baby but nothing consistent. I'm waiting for a kick or a roll that will be more obvious and that doesn't leave me guessing whether it was the baby or just gas or something.
Cravings: Still meatball subs or Subway in general I guess.
Aversions: None right now, yay!
Queasy or sick: Nope
Looking forward to: Feeling the baby move! Also, my 20 week appointment!

17 Weeks!

Technically yesterday I was 17 weeks but I was so excited to share my Cotton Booty Mystery Box that I figured I'd push this back a day.

So I am definitely starting to show a little. I can tell a difference and looking back and comparing pictures there's an apparent difference, but a stranger probably couldn't guess that I'm pregnant yet unless they saw me looking at baby stuff. (which I do pretty frequently these days haha)

 Here's a comparison.

Interestingly enough, that was the first/last time I actually set up my camera to take a picture. I know the shirt is loose but there's really nothing at all to see. This picture could pretty much be a "before pregnancy" picture.

That's the picture I posted for my 14th week. Still not very exciting.

Here's today at 17 weeks 1 day. I set up my camera again since I feel like there's actually (finally) something to see. I do still have that cork board hanging up but it is a lot harder to set up the camera where that is, so this is much easier. And it's classier than the cell phone mirror picture haha.

How far along: 17 weeks!
Gender: Girl!
Weight gain: About 3 pounds I would say
Maternity clothes: Still don't have to wear them but my jeans are getting way more uncomfortable. I can still wear them but by afternoon they are unbuttoned haha
Stretch marks: Nope
Belly button in or out: In
Sleep: Depends on the night really. And I always get up to pee at least once and then again at 5:30 when Jay gets up.
Best moment this week: Getting my mystery box from Cotton Booty
Worst moment this week: Nothing too bad. I had some hip pain one night while sleeping but I think I've solved that by placing pillows between my legs.
Miss anything: It's Oktoberfest here so... beer.
Movement: Not yet! Any day now...
Cravings: Nothing this week really, I still like subways meatball subs
Aversions: None right now, yay!
Queasy or sick: Nope
Looking forward to: Feeling the baby move!

It's a Mystery!

So I am planning on cloth diapering my baby when she arrives. I'm really excited about it! It seems like cloth diapering is getting pretty popular back in the states, but hasn't caught on here yet in Germany. It seems to be a love it or hate it thing from what I've been reading. But I can't wait to give it a go!

(This post is not sponsored, I am just that excited haha)

Anyway, I have bought some used pocket diapers that are in great shape that I can't wait to try out but I also want to have some new diapers and want to try prefolds with covers and some all-in-ones to see which system I like best. So I recently ordered a mystery box from Cotton Booty. It's a really cool company that sells monthly subscriptions for boxes of cloth diapers and cloth diapering products. The mystery box was a limited time item where you could buy a box for $9.99-29.99 (I believe there were three or four options). The exciting part about it is that not all of the boxes are the same and it is a complete surprise when you opened it!

I was excited to try this but wasn't sure if I would like it so I only bought the $9.99 box which was supposed to come with one diaper and one accessory. Now I wish I had bought the bigger one!

Here's what I got!

So for only $9.99, which was actually $14.99 after shipping, I got:

One Charlie Banana one-size 2-in-1 diaper with 2 inserts
a sample pack of Bumkins flushable diaper liners
a sample of Eco Nuts organic laundry soap
a sample of Motherlove green salve
and
a sample of Baby Bits wipe solution

And here's the back of the super cute diaper!

I think that's a pretty great deal! I love that I got so many samples of things to try on the baby and of course the new fluffy diaper! Now it just needs to be March so I can try it all out!

Unfortunately the mystery boxes were a limited time offer but you can still buy monthly subscriptions through the website. I would definitely check it out after being so happy with my mystery box!

Baby is a...

...
Went to the doctor today for my 16 week appointment! For a week or so it was back and forth whether or not Jay could go but he was able to and we were super excited! The doctor was able to see the baby's parts clearly enough to give us a 99% accurate answer to what sex the baby is. SO without further adieu...

Baby is a...

And here she is...

This is her hand waving at us!

We were completely shocked because we both thought it was a boy for sure. I kept joking with Jay about it being a girl but didn't really think it would be. But we are super excited about our healthy baby girl! The doctor took different measurements of her head and different bones and we got to see her heart (which has 4 chambers and looks really strong)! She is still measuring right on track for March 5th. And we have another appointment in 4 weeks.

Here's the weekly facts:

How far along: 16 weeks
Sex of Baby: 99% sure the baby is a girl!
Weight gain: About two pounds since my last appointment
Maternity clothes: Have a few things waiting for when I need them
Stretch marks: Applying lotion daily
Belly button in or out: In obviously
Sleep: Eh depends on the night, I wake up a lot more than I used to though
Best moment this week: Getting to see our baby girl today!
Worst moment this week: nothing I can think of
Miss anything: the occasional alcoholic beverage
Movement: I swear I felt something the other day but that was just once so I'm thinking it might not have been her.
Cravings: Meatball subs from subway for sure, i could probably eat one every day
Aversions: Nothing stands out
Queasy or sick: Nope feeling great!
Looking forward to: Getting that baby bump here in the next couple of weeks and feeling some movement

15 weeks!

Supposedly the baby is now the size of an apple or an orange... You would think it would be more obvious to me that there's an orange size baby inside of me but most days I feel pretty normal/ not pregnant. Since I'm not really showing very much yet it's kind of a weird feeling. But i guess I should be happy I'm feeling good. Mostly I'm just anxious to start having a baby bump so people don't ask who I'm crocheting baby things for anymore haha.

I'm not sure if I mentioned this last week but I am also pretty excited about this mirror that I found at the recycle center! It's not in perfect condition by any means but does the job a lot better than any of the other mirrors around here.

How far along: 15 weeks + 1 day
Sex of Baby: my appointment is next week!! Fingers crossed that baby will cooperate.
Weight gain: still not much, I'm sure it'll be catching up soon
Maternity clothes: Have a few things waiting for when I need them
Stretch marks: Nope, and I am applying some lotion with a mixture of things in it to hopefully help, I've heard both sides of this and I figure I might as well try it
Belly button in or out: In obviously
Sleep: Eh depends on the night, I wake up a lot more than I used to though
Best moment this week: Jay came home from training finally! I also started to crochet a baby blanket!
Worst moment this week: Might have tossed my cookies after brushing my teeth yesterday. My gag reflex is outta control these days. Icky.
Miss anything: the occasional alcoholic beverage
Movement: not yet, I have been questioning every sensation though in hopes of feeling something but it's still a little early
Cravings: meatball subs from subway for sure, i could probably eat one every day
Aversions: nothing I can think of, I hate taking my prenatal vitamin though, it makes me gag, Contemplating going to buy some of those gummy ones
Queasy or sick: like I said for my worst moment this week, throwing up is no fun
Looking forward to: Finding out if it's a boy or a girl! And starting to get a bump. The doctor said I might not show much until like 18 weeks.

I found these books at the recycle center too. I love books and can't wait to get more for the baby's room!

14 weeks!

I have been taking "bump" pictures for weeks now but there's really no bump there yet haha. I feel like my stomach is thicker but I can't really notice too much of a difference in pictures.  But I'll post some from this week just because in the next couple of weeks there should start being some changes.

How far along: 14 weeks! Second trimester woohoo!
Gender: still waiting, 2 more weeks until my appointment
Weight gain: nothing really but I have been eating a lot more so I'm sure there will be some soon haha
Maternity clothes: Have a few things waiting for when I need them
Stretch marks: Nope
Belly button in or out: In obviously
Sleep: Not so good. Tossed and turned all last night mixed with getting up to pee like 3 times. No fun. I've been trying to sleep on my left side because you are supposed to but its hard for me because I normally sleep on my stomach or back.
Best moment this week: I bought some fabric for the baby room and made a new curtain for the cabinet in there and a small pillow! I know I don't know the gender yet but the colors I chose are pretty versatile.
Worst moment this week: This horrible back pain! I'm pretty sure it's posterior pelvic pain. It hurts when I stand up or sit down, and a little bit it between. It's definitely contributing to my sleeping issues. I've been experiencing it for a few weeks and the doctor already knows and he said it was normal but the past week it has been 10x worse than it was originally. I'll be asking the doctor about it again when I go back. I'm hoping when the baby finally rises up out of my pelvis that it might get better? We will see.
Miss anything: not much really, lack of back pain I guess haha
Movement: Not yet!
Cravings: nothing this week really, i like subways meatball subs
Aversions:
Queasy or sick: Not really much this week.
Looking forward to: Finding out if it's a boy or a girl! And starting to get a bump. The doctor said I might not show much until like 18 weeks.
