It seems like every month I say "Wow, __ months!" But this one is a big one. Next month Elsie will be one year old. Shh!! I'm not talking about that until next month.
This little girl is so much fun! She is still crawling and isn't too interested in trying to walk. She'll walk holding on to things but seems to prefer crawling because it's faster. Who can blame her! She is one busy little bee, always playing and laughing and babbling.
Here's some more info on Elsie this month:
Eating:
This month she went from hating all food for about a week (which coincided with getting 3 teeth that week) to loving all the food! I had to laugh the other day when we went out with some friends for dinner she wanted so badly to eat chips and queso! But since she can't have chips yet, I gave her some cheerios dipped in queso. Ha gross. But she loved it! And she'll try just about anything unless it's a green veggie. Then, nope!
She also is drinking 4 bottles a day totaling at 24 ounces. I'm working our way down to 3 bottles very soon since she is eating so much food these days. Also, I don't know when I last mentioned this but she has been using all sippy cups lately, no more regular bottles. And she drinks water from a cup with a straw.
Talking:
Her favorites are still "dada" and "mum mum" and "ya" but she makes all sorts of sounds. I've been trying to get her to say "ball" lately and she started saying "doh" when playing with a ball, but it doesn't sound very close to ball. She also loves to yell! We have also been working on signing but she she hasn't picked any signs up yet.
Teething:
She has 3 on top and 4 on bottom. There's a fourth tooth on top that is so close to coming through, I wish it would already! She's a drool monster.
Sleeping:
Same as it has been for the last few months. She sleeps through the night for the most part. Every now and then she'll let out some short cries but it's pretty much always for less than 5 minutes then she's back to sleep. We did have two nights awhile back, during that teething week, when she woke up and I had to give her a bit of Tylenol to help with the pain.
Playing:
She loves to play with her pretend foods, pots, and pans. She also figured out how to put things back in to things lately rather than just pulling stuff out, if that makes sense. Now we just need her to clean up her toys haha!
